The Windy City

So again I’ve been super bad about updating my blog, but awhile ago Jessa and I went on a trip to Chicago just for fun and to be tourists. One of Jessa’s friends Claire was out of town and nice enough to let us stay at her apartment. She has a pet bunny named Perry who is hilarious and gets grumpy and stomps his feet and sleeps in the bed!

We did all sorts of tourist stuff like going to the pier, seeing the bean, checking out China town and wandering around doing some shopping. I have no idea how many cabs we took, but we had some terrible drivers haha, but we ended up alright!

We ate at so many good places! I highly recommend going to the Yolk and getting breakfast – it’s amazing! Another place that is good is Joy Yee noodle shop in China town. There was so many things on the menu that we were overwhelmed. We ended up ordering way too much food, but in the end it was all good. We went to a comedy club one night (The Laugh Factory), which was actually really good and entertaining!

Claire’s apartment is right across from the Lincoln Park Zoo, so we wandered around that one day, which turned out to be awesome. It is a free zoo and you can come and go as you please. We found a farmers market one morning full of pastries and food and products from local people, which was really fun to see. Jessa and I had so much fun, but we didn’t get to see or do some of the stuff that we had planned on like going to the Shedd Aquarium because the day we went there was a line a mile long and we didn’t feel like waiting, so there is def another trip in the future. We had so much fun and it being my first trip to Chi town, I had a great time with my baby and can’t wait to do it again!
